Age

Middle Devonian age in the Eifelian-Givetian interval is determined by brachiopods. Middle Devonian age is established by lithological and stratigraphic analogy with faunally characterized sections of the Auliekudzhumdin Fm in South Tamdytau and by conformable overlying by limestones of the Upper Devonian (Bukharin et al., 1990). N.V. Cherkashenko et al. (495) and in the monograph (165) accept the Auliekudzhumdin Fm in the volume of the Eifelian and Givetian stages, consider it an age analogue of the Ayakkuduk Fm and Beshashik Fm. Aristanta. On the State Geolmap-500 of Uzbekistan (460) it is accepted in the volume of the Givetian of the Middle Devonian.
